Ash Pearson, Sales Manager at Jack Aluminium talks about ID30, the latest addition to the specialist aluminium systems supplier’s range for the domestic market.
Heritage Style, Inside & Out
Hot on the heels of the launch of our SD70 heritage style aluminium door and screening system for external applications; our new ID30 not only creates one internal system that could be used for a full range of door opening designs, but it offers incredible flexibility when it comes to design.
ID30 has been purposely engineered for interior use and is suitable for both domestic and commercial projects – perfect for office partitions, artists’ studios, separating open plan kitchen-diners, or simply replacing traditional timber internal door sets. The same profile can be used to fabricate a versatile range of configurations of doors, including single- or double-hinged doors; sliding doors; pivot doors; and bi-folding doors.
The system offers minimal sightlines with no extra bulk, or clunkiness, which often comes with external or more traditional systems. Locking mechanisms are housed within the slim door stile, using specially designed mounting kits which feature clever, 3D-printed componentry. All hinges are concealed for an incredibly sleek finish. Soft close and soft open options are also available, as well as a wide range of RAL colours – creating the perfect internal aluminium glazing system that is fast to fabricate and easy to install. Just as you’d expect from Jack Aluminium.
We’ve done everything we can to make ID30 an easy add-on product to open doors into the internal commercial fit-out market and to help installers win more work from domestic projects. It’s the perfect complementary product to our SD70 slimline external doors, so homeowners can get heritage styling – inside and out.
Why did we choose heritage?
After speaking to customers and looking into growing interior trends, ID30 was born. Current trends are telling us that more homeowners, architects and interior designers are looking to install slimline, heritage-style screening in interior spaces as a way of maintaining high levels of natural light, while creating different, high-end aesthetic ‘zones’.
It’s apparent in the research, too. The 2023 Rated People Home Improvement Trends Report showed that interest in open plan has fallen by 26% and is, instead, being replaced by the trend for ‘broken-plan’ – which is a perfect fit for the internal glazed screen market.
The launch of this new internal glazing system therefore comes at an optimum time for fabricators and installers, who are looking to get ahead in these new markets.
Why choose Jack Aluminium Systems?
When Jack Aluminium began, we had a laser-sharp focus on making life easier for the whole commercial aluminium system supply chain – delivering a better, faster and more friendly service to customers. We offer value-engineered, high-performance products, with extensive technical support and fast turnarounds, which has been replicated with the supply of our domestic aluminium range.
This was demonstrated in our flagship product, TD68. We invested heavily in TD68, to ensure it met PAS 24:2016 standards, as well as additional PAS 24 testing on door sets with different configurations, access options and hardware combinations. It also achieved STS202 status, making it one of the most secure aluminium commercial doors on the market.
As such, our commercial range grew to encompass products, such as the JCW curtain walling suite and JD47 non-thermal system. However, customers wanted more and the development of our TW70 window proved to be a pivotal point for the Jack Aluminium range, which allowed us to extend the many benefits of our systems to the domestic market.
Applying the principles of our commercial aluminium service to our domestic products enables customers to do more and now we are seeing fabricator-installers approaching us specifically about our domestic products, proving the high demand for aluminium glazing systems delivered with great levels of service, the Jack Aluminium way.
